Jenner Fox - A taste of country, folk, blues and pop with an acoustic guitar twist!

Not everyone adapts to performing live in the studio with all the instruments in the same room. There is no going back on a small mistake. But those artists who relish telling a story and delivering passionate performances thrive in this environment. Jenner Fox is one of those artists. An old soul writing and singing songs from his soul.
Jenner’s acoustic folk/singer-songwriter style showcases his vivid storytelling, clever lyrics, and bluesy guitar licks. An adventurous Patagonian river guide for half of the year and a traveling singer-songwriter the other half, Jenner has plenty of stories to tell for his album, Taos. This album is every audiophile’s dream.
On Long Lost Pal Jenner teams up with his long time duet partner, Raph Shapiro. The lead off tune, You Can Call Me Al is a refreshing Americana take on Paul Simon’s hit tune. The harmonies in the chorus will put a smile on your face.
One of my favorite recordings is a song called Lullaby. Performed live in the studio with Hans Bilger on acoustic bass/vocals and Brain on drums, this is an example of what incredible musicianship can achieve. The musicians had never met or played the tune before, yet reached some of the most remarkable dynamics I’ve ever heard in the studio. Brain’s snare drum performance is a master class in starting from a soft point and gradually increasing the loudness that pushes Jenner and Hans to a new level of story telling. In 40 years of recording I’ve never heard such control performed on a snare drum. (Hard to believe Brain plays with Primus and Guns N Roses after you hear this!)
We offer this song as a single in multiple formats of DSD, FLAC, and WAV. It’s an excellent way to test your systems. The song is also part of the Taos album.

Into the Mystic is a beloved Van Morrison song. Keith, Chris Kee (bass) and Brain (drums) came into the studio to help demonstrate DSD live recording to NPR. The recordings became an incredible album called Close to the Soul.
Three Little Birds was one of Bob Marley’s iconic songs. Keith, Chris and Brain offer a performance that locks you into the lyrics with Keith’s strong vocal performance. You can find it leading off Blue Coast Collection 2

What Keith Greeninger brings to music is authenticity and talented friends. Borderline includes masters of acoustic instruments and vocal harmonies that make up the band called City Folk. You’ll hear influences from Tex-Mex such as Josephina and Across the Borderline, Bahamian soul and gospel, George Harrison’s beautiful Something, and contemporary folk sentiment such as It’s a Good Day.
